Gloto Releases API for Cellblock.com Enabling Mobile Photo and Video Publishing
The Cellblock.com API permits third parties to easily add rich media mobile content distrobution to any website or video player
Fulton, MD, September 24, 2007 - Gloto Corp., a leader in mobile content publishing and distribution, has released a rich public API that enables third parties to readily incorporate interactive mobile content services into any website. The API exposes many of the user features available at Cellblock.com and permits white-labeling of the entire interface and associated functionality. Cellblock.com is a free service that allows users to instantly publish and blog mobile content such as photos and video from any camera-enabled handset independent of wireless carrier.
"The focus of the API development at this stage is supporting web page scripting and server-to-server calls," said Dakota Bailey, Gloto Director of Product Development. "A major feature is the ability to create new user accounts within your own application realm that is independent of Cellblock.com. Developers can access these APIs using SOAP or REST with XML or JSON."
These realms, or independent groups of user accounts are only accessible within the third party application and are managed independently of Cellblock.com user accounts, allowing third party developers to rapidly incorporate fundamental mobile picture/video functionality into their applications and to access/edit/display the content according to the needs of their application without requiring their users to establish Cellblock.com accounts. This provides a RAD tool for mobile picture/video web application development that will allow people and businesses to deploy reliable functionality in hours instead of weeks and months.
